# Play a word game with friends online

Yapello gives your group a shared letter board and a reason to get competitive. Private games work in the browser, support 2–6 players, and do not require an app download or email signup. Browser play is free and ad-free.

## 1. Create your private table

Open Yapello and choose Play with friends. Create a room, then copy or share its invitation. You can also give your friends the six-character room code. Everyone needs an internet connection.

## 2. Invite the people you want to play

Send the invitation link through your usual group chat. A friend can open it in a phone or desktop browser. If you share a code instead, they can open Play with friends and enter it to join your table.

An invitation is the route into your room, so share it with the people you want at the table. There is no need to publish your private room link in a public post.

## 3. Ready up and take turns

Everyone taps Ready up in the lobby. The match randomizes the initial player order, then rotates the starting player each round. Each player gets a fresh 30-second turn. Connect touching letters, including diagonals, and submit your word before time runs out.

Players take turns on a changing board. Watch the score preview and bonus tiles, and look for a strong word when your turn arrives. You start each match with 3 gems; use them for a hint, a shuffle, or extra time.

## 4. Compare scores, then play again

At the end of five rounds, compare the final scores and use the results-sharing option if you want to show the outcome. Agree to a rematch to play again. One close result makes a better invitation than a long explanation: send a friend the game and challenge them to five rounds.

## Waiting for your group?

Try Solo adventure while you arrange a time to play. Its 50 levels are untimed, so you can learn the board without racing a clock. Quick match is another option when a real opponent is available, but private rooms are the direct way to play with someone you know.
